We made Beijing!

The typhoon howled with winds and rain all night but not horrible. I stayed up most of still trying to adjust to time and schedules. We left for the airport about 10am to catch our 12:45pm flight, no problems with check in and walked around the HK airport "mall" thas what it looked like with ALL the shops there. We didnt buy anything just window shopped. We then went for our gate and had to take the shuttle bus out to the tarmac. Well it started raining and they jam packed us in that bus like sardines, when got out to the plane and boarded the outside stairs and got wet, reminded me when I use to fly to Costa Rica many years ago. We were boarded then they shut the door but then they started serving food and drinks, yep you know what that means, we were on the tarmac for 2 hours waiting for the typhoon to clear enough so we could take off and get over it on our way to Beijing. K fell asleep about 1 hour into the tarmac wait and slept the whole flight so she was happy and doing well. Arrived in Beijing and greeted by our person here and to the hotel. We settled in and explored the hotel but by this time it was after 8 pm so we walked next door to an outside restaurant and enjoy some food and atmosphere. We are going to walk around tomorrow we believe but they say the weather will be nasty so we will see. I dont really have any pictures yet but soon, i promise
